Katerina Kaya lives and works in İstanbul. Katerina was born in 1984 in Northern Kazakhstan.
At the age of 7 she started the Children Fine Art school and later in 1996, when her family moved to Siberia (Russia) Katerina continued her art education.
In 2010 she graduated the Nizhnevartovsk State University the Fine Arts and Design department. During her study, she took part in several local and all-Russian exhibitions. After graduation, she got married and has been living in Istanbul, Turkey since then. Katerina was influenced by Siberian motives at the beginning of her professional career and after she get inspired by Turkish culture. Katerina partisipated at the group Istanbul exhibition of Russian artists at 2013.
Katerina’s paintings are made with different art techniques, she uses oil paint and acrylic paint.
Some artworks are made in graphics techniques, also she draws Digital as well. For now, her artworks are of different series, such as still life, flowers, symbols of Istanbul but she has two the most favorite subjects: women characters and whirling dervishes. Katerina’s artworks are in private collections of Turkey and Russia.
